Oskar Skovbjerg Øhlenschlæger was born on 19 April 2004 in Aarhus, Denmark. He spent his youth years at AGF, Fulham and FC Nordsjælland before starting his senior career at Vendsyssel FF in 2023.

In January 2025 he moved to Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK on a four-year contract, in what was reported as one of Vendsyssel's largest-ever sales, and scored 9 goals in 44 league matches. He has been capped by Denmark at U20 level. He is a great-great-grandson of the poet Adam Oehlenschläger, who wrote the lyrics of one of Denmark's national anthems. In August 2026 he joined Samsunspor from Fredrikstad on a five-year contract.
